It's almost that time again.
Below you can download the registration form and info for the Spring Lakeland YMCA racquetball league. Remember, to be included on the schedule you must complete both a registration form and submit payment.

Winter Haven Gold's Gym Finals
Hi Everyone, Hope you have enjoyed playing in the league. The Gold's Gym Winter Haven Finals Night will be Tuesday April 10th. The top 4 Players in each division will play for the championship. Please get your make-ups done ASAP; even if you are not going to make the finals! Playing all your matches is critical to the integrity of the league. If you are unable to play your make-ups, please contact me so that we may enter the forfeits.
5:00 - Court 1 Beginner 1st vs. Beginner 4th
5:00 - Court 2 Beginner 2nd vs. Beginner 3rd
5:45 - Court 1 Intermediate 1st vs. Intermediate 4th
5:45 - Court 2 Intermediate 2nd vs. Intermediate 3rd

Bring your families and friends to watch and cheer on. League shirts will be given out at that time. We will have food and drink for everyone.
Winter Haven & Lakeland Family YMCA League Finals
Finals are this coming week...
Winter Haven Y League - Tuesday, Feb 28th
Lakeland Y League - Wednesday, Feb 29th
Finals are on the same night for all division levels. The specific schedule will be emailed out Monday afternoon. In order to do that accurately I need all scores posted ASAP. Any scores not posted by Monday morning 11:00am will be entered as zero points for both players. If you need me to enter in a forfeit please email both players name and who showed and who no showed.
All players are welcome and encouraged to attend finals. We will have food, league shirts will be handed out, and dates for the next league will be available.

Winter Haven YMCA Celebrates Christmas with the Jingle Bell Rally
Join us for a Jingle Bell Rally on Saturday, December 24th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Lakeland Y. $10 per player. The rally is a doubles mini mixer style. All skill levels welcome from beginner to advance. Light snacks provided. Please RSVP by December 22. All players must sport jingle bells (bells can be on shirt, bracelet, shoes, hat, etc.) in a court safe manner.

Polkrball Welcomes the Lakeland YMCA Racquetball Family
League director of the Winter Haven YMCA, Theresa Sessions, is organizing a league for the Lakeland Family YMCA soon to be featured on polkrball.com!
League welcome night will be January 11th at 6 pm. Come out, meet the league players, and show us what you've got! Registration deadline is January 15th. League begins the second week of January. Important notice for 2012...At registration please turn in registration form and payment. Players will not be included on the schedule without payment.
League fees: YMCA Members, $15. We encourage non-members to participate as well. Non-members cost will be $25.

Join us for the next YMCA Mini Tournament Saturday, Sept 17th 5pm at the Winter Haven YMCA. $10 per player. All levels welcome.

YMCA 2nd Annual Halloween Racquetball Rally! Saturday, Oct 29th 5pm and the Winter Haven YMCA. $15 per player and $3 per spectator. All proceeds to benefit the Winter Haven YMCA Annual Campaign. All levels welcome (ages 14 and up) and costumes ARE required. Please be sure costume is court safe and family friendly...no "racquetball" player costumes please.

Important...
To be included on the schedule you must complete a registeration form and submit payment. The registration form in attached. You can pay online at http://www.ymcawcf.org
If you turned in your registration form already but not your payment for your convience you can pay over the phone, online, or at the front desk. Please be sure to take care of this by Aug 27th.
League games begin Aug 30. Open, Elite, A Tuesday evenings and B, C, D thursday evenings (these days are subject to change depending on the number of players in each division).

Gold's Gym Winter Haven Says Goodbye to Open Player, Al Arrocha
Gold's Gym Winter Haven celebrated their Summer Finals night on Tuesday, July 12th, but that's not all they celebrated. Players gathered for cake and to say farewell to one of their favorite players, Al Arrocha. Al made appearences in the Open Division finals several times while he was with us. Everyone in the gym acknowledged his skill on the racquetball courts, and respected his courteousness above all else. Polk Racquetball enjoyed its time with Al and will surely miss him on the racquetball courts.

Tournament Style: This tournament will follow a new format style that tournament director, Judd Martin, refers to as "Play What You're Ranked." If you are ranked in the “Season to Date” rankings 1-40 in your division, through the Florida Open (May 13th-15th), you will pay your Rank in Skill. So, the higher your rank, the less you have to pay to play in the tournament. This is an effort to get some of the top ranked players in the state to come play for the weekend!
Entry Deadline: Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10pm. PLEASE ENTER EARLY. Early registration is recommended. Limit: 90 players.
